Real Food. Real Ideas. Real Simple.

You know that sauce that you can almost drink?… The ‘I licked the plate’ kind? That is this sauce.

Alfredo sauce is really simple, but seems like it should be hard and just plain bad for you. This recipe is truly easy and truly gluten free. This sauce would be good on a shoe, but I wouldn’t recommend that  It pairs really well grilled chicken over your favorite pasta. If you want it to be fully gluten free, try a gluten free pasta or even spiralized veggies, like zucchini or even butternut squash. It’s SO good!

In the dish pictured, I used a box of Penne pasta and grilled up some lemon-pepper chicken to toss in. Another amazing addition to this dish would be fresh diced tomatoes and spinach. The options are really limitless and can be customized to your liking.

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet on medium heat, add your butter and melt completely.

  2. Add in your minced garlic and let cook for just a minute while whisking to prevent burning.

  3. Add in your cream and whisk until bubbly… this only takes a few moments.

  4. Now for the CHEESE…. Add in the parmesan and whisk until fully incorporated. Stir frequently while adding in your final ingredients. Add your cayenne pepper (unless you choose to omit) and then your salt and pepper. Continue to cook until the cheese is melty and you can give the sauce a taste… Perfect?!!! If not quite, add in more salt or pepper if needed.

  5. Viola!

Now to take this sauce to dinner on a proper date… accessorize it with some grilled chicken or smoked sausage. Toss in some fresh spinach and tomatoes to take this to a whole new level of elegant.

This sauce is not short on taste AT ALL. Trust me… you will LOVE this sauce!! Try this one today and let me know what you think!
