Real Food. Real Ideas. Real Simple.

I am constantly trying to find new snack ideas for my 3 year old that can be passed off as a ‘treat’, when really it’s a healthy snack. Avery loves all things fruit, so this test on freezing them covered in yogurt was a no-brainer.

This is such a good item to prep and keep in your freezer to just grab and snack on. These are a great ‘beat the heat’ treat during these warmer days when the kids are begging to chase the ice cream truck.

This recipe is so versatile too.. not a fan of blueberries, or want to try other fruits, you can use pretty much any other fruit you’d like here. My 2 year old LOVES blueberries, so this is the chosen one for this post. Try this recipe and try it with other fruits and share them with us!

SO EASY! All you need is plain Greek yogurt, your favorite sugar substitute and 1 pint of blueberries!

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.

  2. In a medium mixing bowl, stir together your yogurt and sugar substitute (if you prefer to just use sugar, I won’t judge).

  3. Fold in your blueberries gently. This works best if you do this in smaller batches. Scoop the coated blueberries out using a fork to sift through a bit of the excess.

  4. Place the blueberries on the lined sheet, being careful to keep them separated.

  5. Freeze the whole sheet pan for at least 1 hour.

  6. Remove your delicious frozen yogurt blueberries and place them in a Ziploc or an airtight container.

Note

Keep these in your freezer for 1-2 months and grab a handful when that sweet craving hits!
